November 25, 200322 yr Sometimes, when I try to load SB after running SBRelay, then doing multiplayer, then doing SBHost then trying to run SB it begins to load but then as soon as I hit the join button to join multiplayer session I get the "squawkbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error. Here is what the error signature says:AppName: squawkbox.exe AppVer: 2.3.0.5 ModName: user32.dllModVer: 5.1.2600.1106 Offset: 0000d20dNow, what I did last night was I thought maybe I had a bad version of SB so I re-downloaded it and tried to re-install. I installed the version for FS2002 and it worked fine. Now when I try it again the problem re-occurs. Does this mean I have to keep re-installing SB when I want to play?I tried turning off Hyper Threading since I heard that might have an effect and still get the error.I'm running a P4 3.0 with 1 Gig RAM and GeForce FX5600 256MB Ram. I'm a bit confused and its driving me nuts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

November 30, 200322 yr Hey there,I'm running XP Professional. I actually found a solution that seems to be working, for now.Load SBRelay, then load FS2004, then load HostSB inside FSIM, then load SB, then do multiplayer connect. For some reason this works. If you don't connect multiplayer until after you have SB running this seems to be taking care of the situation. At least for me and hopefully now for you.I also read a thread where you go into msconfig and turn off all options under the "General" tab except for services. Then go into the "Services" tab and check off "hide all Microsoft Services" then click Disable All and hit ok. Let the computer restart.I've heard that works as well. You can try the my solution above as it worked for me if not, then the other.Good luck!
December 1, 200322 yr I have the exact same problem and can't seem to get any of the workarounds to work. Any other ideas out there? It worked 6 months ago thats what is REALLY stupid.
