Can anyone help? I have been away from FS for nearly 3 years. I intend to get back involved again so I installed FSX the other day and I am desperate to get back online with VATSIM but is it true that if I want to take part in online flying I have to resort back to FS9 due to compatibility issues with SB & FSX?

I intend to get back involved again so I installed FSX the other day and I am desperate to get back online with VATSIM but is it true that if I want to take part in online flying I have to resort back to FS9 due to compatibility issues with SB & FSX?
I use FSINN with FSX and FS9 I used to use just SB with FS9 and then with FSX I used FSINN and actually like it better and find it more stable ( for me anyways)
