Fellow Virtual Airmen, I participated last night in "Calscream 9", and I can say that overall it was a very good experience, with excellent ATC all the way.There was one little glitch, however.A hacker came into the RW voice room of Oak_B_CTR and tried to spoil the fun for everyone, by continuously reeling off ATC instructions, thus making the voice channel unusable.I am no expert, and so I cannot claim to know how he got in, but there is one possibility I can think of. When one uses Serverinfo to check out who is online, there is sometimes a possibility to join the voice channel of a selected controller, by clicking on the join button at the bottom of the controller details window.Perhaps this is how he came in??I have noticed that not all controllers operating a voice channel have that join option enabled. I do not know how they configure it, but I guess that if this option was always disabled, that would put one more stumbling block in the path of the kill-joys. If contollers can be enlightened on how to achieve this, and agree to make this a common standard, this might help to improve the experience, even if by very little.Note that I am no expert, and I am open to hearing the downside of doing this. Also note that I am in no way trying to discredit the wonderful serverinfo application, which I use everysingle day, regardless of if I fly or not.cheers.

EjiroIn the not so distant future none of this will be necessary. RW will be replaced by Advanced Voice Client (AVC). One of the best features of AVC is the fact that users MUST be logged onto the VATSIM network before it will connect to a voice channel. We might still have channel "hijackers," but they will be easier to track down and ban from VATSIM. Besides all that, the voice quality is far superior to RW. Once everybody is using it, the overmodulation and breakup problems some are experiencing with it now will go away forever.Regards
