call sign invalid error message???

Featured Replies

Hi all,Trying to use this new AVC software and keep getting the message,"call sign invalid, please log on to vatsim" ?? I check the vatsim site, i'm there on the pilot list, re-verify the callsign abd pilot info are correct and still get the same message? RW works fine for me but i want the latest and what i thought was the greatest voice software. I'm using winxp pro, cable modem thru a router, all the latest builds. Thanks,Rob

AVc does not work the same as RW did in that you cannot run AVC and then connect to a controller. With AVC you have to first connect to a Vatsim server from the drop-down list to be authenticated, then you can connect to a controller. From memory the readme file in AVC covers this.HTH

Rob, did you get this worked out??Make sure your Callsign is the same, right down to case and spacing, as well you have to log in to the network first.Make sure you have port 3782 open in your router and cable modem
