I've always been using ServInfo to update the server list. Tried it all again tonight and everything seemed to work fine!! Full list of servers available. Only glitch was an error message saying could not open file icao.dat. Don't know what the effect of this is?

What program gave you that error? Was it SB or were you trying to just view the file? You can open the icao.dat view with notepad

Dave. The error message appeared just before the SB splash screen. SB seemed to work OK though. I managed to observe traffic for a while just to get the feel for it!

I

"I copied the csl_icao.csv file in the aircraft directory of FS9, etc.."When you say etc, do you mean you have copied it to the CSL folder as well? Some time that helps"When I start SB from exe short cut (from menu START), everthing run, but I get the icao.dat critical error and csl_icao.csv missing file!!"That will happen for some, I had the same problem."When I start directly from SB directory or shortcut in the desktop, I get a general error that need to close SB (whith the message to send or not to Microsoft) and all the programs turn bloked, including the flight Simulator"Ok this should have fixed #2, try thisUninstall SB delete the CLS folder in FS9 and the SB folder. Then create these foldersMicrosoft GamesFS2002AircraftMicrosoft GamesFS2002ModulesThen reinstall SB, and point it to FS2002 when asked. Then copy the CSL folder in to FS9 once its done and put the csl_icao.csv to FS9AircraftFS9AircraftCSL

Weese, was everthing ok, but when I restart the game to play again, the same general error apears again!! So I made the same procedure that you said:"Uninstall SB delete the CLS folder in FS9 and the SB folder. Then create these foldersMicrosoft GamesFS2002AircraftMicrosoft GamesFS2002ModulesThen reinstall SB, and point it to FS2002 when asked. Then copy the CSL folder in to FS9 once its done and put the csl_icao.csv to FS9AircraftFS9AircraftCSL"but now the error keep the same. I don

DaveFollowing on from my problem, I've just tried to create a flight plan in SB and it says I'm missing csl_icao.csv again!!!If I load a previously created plan from BV Air it's OK. Still getting the error opening icao.dat also. Any suggestions? Thanks anyway for the help so far.Mal

YOu have to make sure the flightplans are located in the Squawkbox folder, as SB reads the csl_icao.csv file when it loads an FP

DaveI realise the FPs have to be in SB folder to load them but, if you are starting from scratch with a blank FP??????

Are you starting SB right from its folder or from a shortcut? I know that will cause a problem for some.
