Having problems seeing my session I created in SBRelay on the multiplayer screen...any ideas?Thanks!- Colin

Try to put in FS multiplayer client settings the port as 0. This means "Windows, please choose the best one".Jos

Is this a fail on first try ?Or did it previous work correct and have you change anything ?Can you describe more step by step what you do, when and what fail does appear.Lennart Vedin SAS202

Yeah that helped, thanks! I put it to 0, but it doesn't say this in the documentation - is this rare? I have my firewall on, the standard one that comes with XP Service Pak 2. I am running XP Home, with the 2nd service pak. I am going through a router too, 100 Mbps one to connect to the Internet in this apartment of mine. So I had to change the client settings to 0, why?Also..I am using HostSB...not sure of the order I need to connect. I still haven't connected successfully. I start SBRelay, then open FS2004, go multiplayer, join, then create a flight (not on a runway lol) then go module, run HostSB, then start Squawkbox, then not sure??? Wow...what a process....why can't there just be one program for this stuff? I've read the help stuff online under Pilot Resource Center, that did help, but I still don't know what to do with this Advanced Voice Client and how to connect so I can fly out of the Western USA Region. Thanks guys for any help!- Colin

Couple of things may help ..........Try using SB Host rather than hostSB- some people do have troubles with one rather than the other.Once you get SB connected it should start AVC automatically- but you really need to run AVC once on its own to setup the mike and insert your details.Dave

Well step by step, again I initiate SBRelay, start flighsim 9, gomultiplayer, click search, it finds SBRelay ONLY if I enter 0 into theclient settings for host (or the top one). Then I proceed to create aflight, I appear at a gate or parking spot, then I go to modules which isto the right of the normal file tabs and such, then I go hostSB and clickrun, then I start Squawkbox, and at this point when it's running I don'tknow what to do. I haven't actually connected to VATSIM's server, and notsure what to do with the AVC program. I got my mic working and all, but doI need to run this each time I want to fly using VATSIM? I'm neverprompted for any connection dialog, and once SB is open I'm don't seeanything except that on SBRelay it says something to the effect of "fakeuser entered into system" or somethnig such as fake. I use the samecallsign I entered in AVC as my multiplayer name.Feels like I'm at the last few steps, but unsure. Thanks guys for yourpatience!Safe flying,- Colin

Oh, getting an error when after I click on OK for Squawkbox, I press join and then get "Squawkbox encountered a series error and needs to close yada-yada." Hrmmm...what could be going on? Thanks!

On any SB problem, I recommend as the first step to use FS in not-full-screen-mode.And don't use HostSB.dll (Squawkbox) in FS-menu since some user have problem with HostSB.dll, instead use extern "SB Host.exe", they work the same.So:1. Start SBRelay.2. Start FS go to Multiplayer, if you see SBRelay it's OK, click SBRelay and select "Join".3. Create a flight.4. Start "SB Host.exe". you should see an empty window.5. Start squawkbox.exe proceed according to manual by not enter any IP-address, in the Host-window you should now see a picture of airplanes and button "Go into action".6. Select "Go into action".Now proceed in Squawkbox with FlightPlan etc and then connect. You can find your airplane in Vatsim Visual Display in some minutes. Now you can fly Vatsim using text-communication.AVC is next step to get voice-communication.If everything work fine and stable, you can optionally try HostSB.dll.Lennart Vedin SAS202

Problem is your router, you'll need to open ports in it so that SBRelay can create a multi-player session for SB to use.Read this, it should helphttp://www.chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay/help.html
