March 29, 200521 yr 1'st problem:Everytime I try to calibrate my mic. in SB3, it says that background noise is to loud (I can't remember the excact text) and when trying the mic settings (speak) I can't hear my "recording".I have nothing running that could cause a background noise, so what could be the problem? My mic. works perfectly in all other programs like IVAO, Skype, Messenger etc.2'nd problem:When filing a flightplan with SB3 and trying to send it to Vatsim, it ask's for my CID/password, but returns the message: Invalid CID/password (******)Is the CIS/passw, not the one I got when signing up with Vatsim a long time ago?Falcon
March 29, 200521 yr Hey, Falcon, The errmsg is confusing because it doesn't distinguish between BG noise too loud and mike not loud enough. I got that errmsg because my mike was unplugged! There's help available on the calibration window that should clue you in the right direction. Open your mixer and make sure *you* can hear yourself. Can't? You'll have to resolve that before you can get past the calibration. RE: problem 2, how long since you've been flying on Vatsim? They had a problem with the user database something over a year ago and everybody had to get a new password. If your email address has changed since you signed up, your notification of that event bounced and they probably removed you from the database. You need to email Membership services directly, there's a link on the Vatsim front page. They're very helpful about getting you going again. Hope that helps!
April 2, 200521 yr Not sure about the second one but ignore the mic setup routine. Only once did I ever get my setup to pass - yet voice works perfectly with 5/5 reported every time. Cost me a whole evening trying to get this set up!
April 11, 200521 yr All VATSIM passwords were changed 18 months or more ago.It could also be that your account has become suspended due inactivity.Fill your details in www.vatsim.net/mememail.php
