I'm running fs9 on lowish spec 2.4G P4 machine, I use the default planes whenever possible to maintain 20fps+ Am I right in thinking that to use Vatsim I should have a plane which can fly sid/stars, i.e. one with an FMC?Neil.

If you wanna keep your default aircraft then you can down load a FMC .. its called VASFMC http://vas-project.org/ it works with the Flight 1 ATR 72 navdata , you dont have to worry about weights etc , just program the route and fly ..it also has a nav map too which you can choose the Boeing stile or Airbus .
