Hi,i was trying my first FsBus's display unit and it works fine. Now i'm looking for my MCP and COMMs displays smallest 7-segments, as the default circuit supports big ones. I think the real aircraft's displays are not so big. It's difficult to find them here in Greece. Does anyone knows where can i find almost real size 7-segmentes in an online store in Europe or USA that are working with default FsBus circuit, or others the are similiar and can work with small modifications in FsBus circiot for displays? Thanks Eddie Athens-Greece

Hi,I agree with Tuomas, I think there is own forum for commercial stuff. No hence, but I do hope that people who is doing this as a hobby and give their freetime to help each others with their knowledge should have a place where to share it. I hope that you rethink your marketing strategy again. I am sure that you find away to fish new customers but spare this thread. Some may disagree with me but lets not make this great place a market place! OK?// Joni

Hi Eddie,I have not ordered any of these yet, so I can't really say what they look like, but I had planned on using one of the following LED displays for my 37NG cockpit. The Displays are made by Fairchild p/n MAN3410A. The digit is 0.3 inches tall and .188 inches wide. The whole single unit itself is .738 inches tall and .386 inches wide. The description for this display is a right handed decimal point common anode led with a clear gray face. Also this unit lights up green which is what I wanted in my cockpit. If I measured right these should fit into my FDS MCP panel, etc. I don't have the Pedestal panels yet so I am not sure if the cut out for the LED display is about the same to house these same LED's or not for things like COM freqs and stuff like that. I found these on Mousers website. I don't know if you can get them somewhere else cheaper or not. I really havn't looked into pricing them too much yet as i have 100 other projects to work on. Also due to the size of the single unit I dont think they will work to good with the FSBUS PCBs where the leds go. When I got to that point I had planned on doing some artistic soldering or something. I dunno yet. But if you want the smaller LED displays you'll probably have to come up with something like that as well. I know in units like the Go Flight MCP they have 3 digits on one unit. I don't know if thats a viable possibility or not or if anyone has tried it yet. Hopefully someone else out there can help you, I, and I am sure a lot of people out with a good solution. You can go to mousers online catalog to see the specs on the unit I am talking about at http://www.mouser.com/catalog/615/70.pdf Hope that helps some or at least lessens the confusion :)Take careJason Tighe

I think for FSBUS you need to have common cathode 7-segments, so one needs to check that. There are various sizes available though. The display boards fit the larger ones, but it's quite easy (although a big amount of work) to do an alternative schematic on breadboard with jumper wires, or, like the post above shows, with a modified pcboard. But as far as I remember, it needs to be common *cathode* for fsbus use.Tuomas

Good catch,Like I said I hadn't ordered them yet, Thats about the size i was looking for though. CATHODE..CATHODE..CATHODE..lol I will have to pound that into my head so I remember. Ok in that case look at the 3440A, that should be the winning ticket.Jason

Hi,yes, the 7-segments MUST be the cathode versions Look here:http://www.conrad.deOrder no. 184675The COMPLETE display is 9mm, the actual displayed number about 7.6 mm - so it fits perfect.Mathias
