September 21, 200322 yr Tonight, with all valuable info a had from this forum (thanks to all of you), i made an experiment. And it was success, as i made the Rotary Encoder to work with FsBus and PM.How? Simple by emulating keyboard commands and not by sending fsuipc offsets.Yes, I know, Dirk said that is working on it and for sure we will have, (i hope soon), good news from him about this. But i was looking at least for a safe point to begin and i tryed with rotary encoders, Redec, FsbusKey to send to active PM's MCP program the "F5" or "F6" keyboard commnads to increase/decrease the heading and it's wokring fine, without loosing them in the same PC with Fsbus. I didn't manage to make also in a networked PC with FsClient yet.The only problem it remains the Fsbus Display, as has a big delay to read from Fs the new HDG data and when i force the FsBus's F6 key to sending also info to display, i have troubles and strange values.Anyway, if anyone else could try this with keyboard commands and send us his report!Have a nice week!!Eddie ArmaosAthens-Greece
September 22, 200322 yr Why not use QRC or 8x Rotary Encoder for that application. I understand you probably want to keep everything FSBUS, but those are certainly excellent options for what you are trying to do.http://avsim.com/bluesideupRoberthttp://The777Project.com

In the example configuration the 7-segments read the rotary values directly instead of from the FSUIPC. I guess this wont work just because of the key commands, since you are just putting out keys, and there is no rotary object with a value to read from.Does it help if you adjust the FSBUS update frequency?Tuomas

I think this is what Bluesideup's 8X do, right?Tha problem with keypresses and PM is with display refresh, or when i want to send fsuipc offsets to PM and not keypresses. With default FS is working acceptable.Btw what is QRC?ThanksEddie ArmaosAthens-Greece
