I don't know if you are aware, but there is a company that is making really cheap gauges for your cockpit:http://www.simkits.com/Have you got some feedbacks about that company? Is it reliable? Are the instruments of good quality? Do they work well? Greetings Minos

Are the instruments of good quality? Do they work>well?Well, "really cheap" can be argued, but reasonably priced I would guess compared to the "real" simulator stuff. We use them in our aviation club sim project. They seem to work nicely, although the stuff is made of plastic, so the durability will be seen over time. They work quite well. One can notice slight jumpyness, but they seem to be updating the driver software to improve it, and part of it is probably because of FS200X gauge update frequency too. But it is not that bad that it hurts in practice - the gauges work OK and look very nice. Plus we can stick our yoke through the instrument panel like it goes on a real Cessna, so it suits us well. For the purpose they seem to do their job quite well for the price. There's some assembly effort required though, and turns out we connected the rotary encoders wrong, so we need to open those gauges still and fix that. But hmm. The shipment was quick and they seem to respond to customer mails quickly (plus they have a forum) - so hm. What to say? Depends on what you need I guess. Here's a pic of our setup:http://tigert.gimp.org/vatsim/albums/yoke/aaz.sized.jpgTuomas

HiI can only tel good about Simkit.Nice work, every thing fit good together. Quick schipment, 3 days from Simkit to Denmark, with regular post. The price is high (like every thing to cockpit builder).I use it together with FSBUS.look at my website http://www.fmw.dkPicture http://www.fmw.dk/cockpit/25.htmRegardsFinnDenmark

I built several of the instruments when they first came out. They are a lot of fun to build and work well.I have, however, decided to pursue a "Glass cockpit" for my simulator and so am selling the whole shebang - i.e. the controller card and the essential instruments. Contact me privately for details if interested - or check the swap meet forum here. I posted something about them quite a while ago.cheers,Dave Blevins
