October 24, 200322 yr Just noticed that on the front page of the Lifestyle & Entertainment section of today's Houston Chronicle (Friday, 10/24/03), there is a nice article - with a couple pictures about Robert Prather and his 777 simulator. If anyone is interested, here is a link to the story: A Boeing in his bedroomMichael
October 27, 200322 yr God Robert... what a media hog! How do you get all this media attention? It sicking! By the way, where can I get some of those "exotic looking buttons"? I think my sim needs some of those... and I DEMAND that you start dropping my name in the press next time you get interviewed. I expect to see my name next time you are interviewed by the New York Times or I am writing to the editor to protest.And... I think you need to stop ignoring those beeping noises when the press is present - gives us all a bad image.:)
October 27, 200322 yr Yeah Robert I demand the same thing I need to be mention on every Interview you have!!! Yeah man... Cause I
October 28, 200322 yr I think it is pretty impressive. A big JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. My last was a T-6 IIAMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D@ 5.1 GHz, 32 GB DDR5 RAM - 3 M2 Drives. 1 TB Boot, 2 TB Sim drive, 2 TB Add-on Drive, 6TB Backup data hard driveRTX 3080 10GB VRAM, Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
October 29, 200322 yr I swear I mentioned you all to each of the editors!! But they said they had to cut some of the more important information to make the stories more consice. It's totally the editor's fault. I blame the system for this injustice against you guys.Mitch, exotic switches will be available next week ;-)They WOULD quote the crash in paragraph 2!! I knew you guys would cut me up about that.. lol! I didn't have visuals at the time, so the plane would oscillate into crashes every few minutes . Next time, I will have to connect my 270 degree collimated parabolic plasma display.Roberthttp://The777Project.com
October 29, 200322 yr >> Next time, I will have to connect my 270 degree collimated parabolic plasma display.Ok maybe it's a 17" CRT monitor . You guys knew what I meant...
November 3, 200322 yr Hey...as long as it turns on and you can tell the runway lights from the bedroom lights glaring on the monitor!I put a blurb on my site (www.777project.com) with a re-direct to yours...I think I am getting more traffic from hunters of the '777project' and I know they really want YOUR sexy site! Keep the press coming...the more that's out there on what our hobby is really about...the better. The first thing most people ask me is "so, can terrorists train on this thing?". My answer is usually: "depends on how much they are willing to pay me..." heheheh!Seriously...keep it up...Capt 777
November 3, 200322 yr Thanks a bunch TK! I appreciate the link. I was wondering about your status just the other day! Last we spoke I believe you had elevated your floor... I keep trying to get around to that .Yes, I frequently here snide remarks like, "So you're the one who trained Bin Laden!" Can't help but laugh at them! It's positive media that will hopefully keep Boeing, etc off of us. It shows them that we have nothing but great intentions!Thank you guys for your positive words!RobertP.S. - SimSpares will be reopening this week with a ton of new stuff!
