December 8, 200322 yr I wanted to share with you how I lit the www.flightdecksolutions.com EFIS and FCU Buttons.http://www.a340project.us/_wsn/page12.html
December 9, 200322 yr One quick question, what kind of sandpaper did you use to sand in from rounded LED into square type? I was thinking of doing same using dremel or table sandsaw... would that be a good idea?
December 9, 200322 yr I used a table belt sander:) My first LED I used a file, holding the led and rubbing it on the file. I would think a Dremel tool would work also. I have to warn you, when you use a power tool, it doesn't take long for it to go down where you want it. Watch your fingers:)
December 10, 200322 yr Watch my finger! LOL... Two thumbs up! BTW keep up with your cockpit, looking forward for more of your work.
December 10, 200322 yr Hi Matt,Very impressive results - congratulations!Have you given any thought to a solution for lighting the buttons on the CDU? This is one of my next projects...Thanks, and all the best!
December 10, 200322 yr Hi Mitch,Regarding the CDU, I'm waiting for FDS to come out with the ELITE MCDU, which I'm anxiously looking forward to. Once I get, I will definitely look at the possibility of lighting it. So no thought yet.
