December 16, 200322 yr Hi all..I have had my FSBUS cards made up by Cadum and now I am trying to program them for FSDISP and FSKEY actions. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the FSDISP to work properly. I am using the latest Router software form FSBUS site. The method I am using for each display is:1) Configure each 7 segment FSDISP PCB...assign a CID to each one. I have (7) 7 segment displays2) Assign where the device is going to look in FS (little box on lower right side)3) Go to FLASH menu...flash each controller (Do i do this each time for each 7 segment display controller with a PIC on the board ?)4) Return jumpers to normal mode5)After I have configured it all I get is a bunch of " - ". The only way I can get numbers to show is by clicking the right CID number in the router software.6) Also when I exit Router it won't let me save FSBUS latest config...Is this normal ?7) I also tried to program a 12 position switch. Do I have too specify RID's, CIDS etc...eeekk!I've read the FSBUS manuals...and I'll be honest it challenges my capability but I'm determined to succeed.Any thoughts or help will be most appreciated in this festive season...many thanks...JB
December 16, 200322 yr JB,First of all you have to flash each PIC before you can use them.On the display PCB, plug in only 1 PIC flash this as cid 1.Remove the PIC. Put the second PIC on the PCB flash these as cid 2 etc.Put the jumpers on BOTH pcb to normal mode. After that you can use your display,s with the cid you have flasht.^6. Yes you can save it with your own name I think.7. Yes again You can use the key test in the setup menu.Hope it helps.Jan737.
December 17, 200322 yr The "-" signs on the display is a good indication that you have successfully programmed the PIC & it is doing it's job, the display shows "-----" when first powered on, what you need to do next is send the display some data & you should be able to do that with the display test menu & selecting the correct controller ID.Cheers Glenn.
