December 19, 200322 yr Some weeks before, a friend had post his Fsbus config file for Project Magenta, but i can find it for reference for mine.Does anyone have it? Please send it via email to [email protected] or give me the link of the thread if still avsim has it there tio download it :-)But i still have a question to make about FsBUS and EFIS:As i can see in PM's offsets, Enrico has EFIS values for MAP range and ND Modes. So with a specific offset and using a rotary switch (12 stages) i can assign to a specific position to send the fsuipc offset for a certain position (ie range = 20)But..... if i will do this i HAVE to use my EFIS and FsBUS, ONLY with PM's s/w, because other aircrafts they have assign keyboard commnads or maybe offsets for increase/decrease mode.So i made a search for other PM's offsets not with specific offsets for a ND mode, but for increase/decrease (+/-).I found it and assign a 12 stage rotary from fsbus to work with this. Bus even i turn right or left the rotary, the Range or Mode in PM's Efis it increase, as the value (offset) is for increase. How do you solve it? What have you done? Please any syggestion will be valuable!!Reagards Eddie ArmaosAthens-Greece
December 20, 200322 yr Hi Eddie,I use a 12 stage rotary as switch for that, not as rotary. You can define the ascii value of a letter used in the discription as up value and route to the keyboard interface-----> glasscockpit for example. Ascii tables can be found on the web. That will do the trick. Is that what you mean?If not, send me a e-mail at [email protected] and I'll try to help you.Jan.
December 20, 200322 yr Author Jan, thanks for your reply, the one solution is tlike you have done it, with switches. The other is like your idea to emulate keyboard commands for up/down or left/right turns or as i said by using PM's offsets for the same thing (up/down).The problem in both last two solutions is that wiht the FsBUS 208 version the rotary switch (12 stage), sends the same commnand/offset in every left or right turn. As i have assigned it to the increase offset it sends this value and the ranfe or mode increase in right and left turns. So that is what i'm asking, if anyone has solved already.I don't have connected a real switch, i use the "virtual one" from FsBus s/w.Eddie
December 21, 200322 yr Hi Eddie,I don't define the 12 stage as a rotary, but use each one as a switch. So when you turn you can define each time a switch with his own up value ( ascii value) and switch for example the range from 10....640 nm.Or from VOR,APP,MAP etc. See the doc's on Enrico's page for the keyboard commands of the MCP and GC.Jan.
