January 14, 200422 yr I remember seeing posted last year on one of the FlightSim news sites a company that was manufacturing replica 737 throttles etc. for use with pc flight simulators. Unfortunately I have lost the URL link to the site. Does any know of this site / company and if so could you let me have the URL link please. Many thanks,Regards,Stuart Hyett
January 14, 200422 yr Stuart:Check out http://www.vdbroeck.net.The throttle quadrant is USB-compatible using FSUIPC, very realistic looking, but around $3k.Flightsim Phil
January 14, 200422 yr Hello StuartThose are the only true replicas on the market at this time - but at big bucks! If you want something less expensive, I suggest you look at simavionics.com for their 757 quad. They say they will be bringing out a 737 flap detante plate in the near futureFlyerian
January 14, 200422 yr www.simavionics.comCurrently we are taking pre-orders for our 757/767 replica throttle quadrant, which is priced at $349.99 USD.Around the time of release ( FEB ) we will be conducting a poll to decide on the next throttle quad.We are also thinking of offering a 737 Flap Plate for the 757 quad as an upgrade module.
January 14, 200422 yr My vote is for a 777...But judging from the number of projects, I think the 737 may make more sense. The 75/76 throttles are on the 'outside' of the handgrip, while the 777 and 737 are on the 'inside'...so maybe 73/77 could be done at once in one new version. Still, both have major structural and switch layout differences from each other.Just go for numbers & $$!
January 15, 200422 yr There are more similarities between the 767 & 777 quad than there are between the 737 & 777.The 737 Quad has a setting for Flaps 40.The 767 & 777 have settings for Flaps 30.The levers are a different design on the 777 from the 767, but the rest of the unit is very similar in overall design. It would be harder to convert a 737 quad to use with a 777 than it would be to use the 767 quad.
