Apologies if this is a silly question, but is it possible to replay a previous flight in the log book from an earlier day, if one first sets the same aircraft at the location in MSFS2020. Or does one have to also have recorded that flight with Flight Recorder at the time and then import it from Flight Recorder in order to replay it using Sky Dolly?

When using Vatsim, you could try changing the ATC to something other than Native, e.g. Radar Contact.

I've recently been trying to get to grips with MCE and PF3 in X-Plane 11. I've set Closed Captions unchecked and Active=1 in the ini file but have experienced the following. I dial in the ATIS frequency and PF3 duly provides the weather. Then dial the Clearance freq, and request clearance myself. PF3 duly provides clearance accordingly, however the FO bugs in and does the readback without being asked! PF3 acknowledges, Readback correct even before FO has finished. I carry on and request pushback and subsequent Taxi from Ground having tuned it manually. The FO acknowledged in both cases even though I have not handed him the radio. However, when I do subsequently hand FO the radio, which he acknowledges, he seems incapable of dialing the correct frequencies into the radios and as a result does not get any reply, leaving me to change the radio and handle the Comms again myself! The aircraft is the FJS Q400. I don't know what can be going wrong? Furthermore, although most probably a PF3 issue, Departure climbs me to 10000 ft then states "Follow own Navigation". That's the last I usually hear from PF3, other than changing frequencies occasionally. No further climb instruction or descent per the Flightplan entered ( cruise level should have been 23000 ft). I eventually ignored PF3 and descended myself in order to me altitudes per approach charts and landed. PF3 still advising me after landing to maintain 10000 ft! I think it's back to faithful old RC4 for me, unless someone can advise where I could be going wrong? Stuart

I'm aware of setting sound preferences in Windows but it's not application specific. I found that using Audio Router (https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router/releases/download/v0.10.2/AudioRouter-0.10.2.zip ) I can reroute XP11 itself to the non default playback device (e.g. external speakers) leaving MCE and either RC4 or PF3 to use the default playback device. So I shall give the above a try tomorrow which hopefully should solve the issues as they will then be using the default playback device. Thanks, Stuart

Not using a TTS script, but one of the default MCE voices. Sorry I think I misled you somewhat re the purser script issue. It's not only the purser voice but also when a .wav file is played within the script using the sound=xxxxxx.wav command in the script. This is also the case of the .wav file is played from within a pilot script, even though the FO voice within that script plays through the MCE DEFINED (non default) device. Any idea how to resolve this? BTW, I am using X-Plane and not FSX/P3D, in case that makes a difference? Also, it would appear the MCE website is not accessible today? http://www.multicrewxp.com ?? I download and installed version 1.3.5 for X-Plane, and when using for the first time today the FO seemed to go into a loop at times when performing a script flow, repeating the same item several times over an over again, before suddenly moving on. Don't know what could have caused this. Also, having assigned MCE to a different audio device from the default, worked fine for the FO, but the purser voice scripts were still coming through the default audio device. Any chance purser sounds could use the playback device defined in Assign Audio output? Stuart

As point of clarification: In PF3, when PF3 FO is handling radios he also changes frequency when requested by ATC and communicates with the next controller. If when using the latest MCE version one ask the MCE FO to handle the radio, does he automatically acknowledge ATC commands and also change radio frequencies etc as he did with RC4, or does one have to initiate a request to change comm1 to the new freq and request him acknowledge? I understand from the previous posts that when on the ground and say are at the holding point, one as to request to the FO to "request takeoff clearance" (or similar), whereas PF3 FO did this without prompting. Is this the case? Sorry if stating the obvious, but I haven't yet had the time to try the new version with PF3, and am just trying to get things clear in my head from reading the above posts, so that I know how to proceed once I find time to jump in the cockpit!

Re 'Closed Captions' : Some newbies may prefer to leave this on, but other more experienced pilots will want to disable it, so if there is an alternative like the debug_monitor_log then that would be good, then the user can still use or not the close caption option in PF3. Stuart

Gerald, The Q400 does not use full throttle on takeoff else engine N1 creeps into the red. I hadn't noticed it before latest upgrade, but perhaps I hadn't previously set nav1 to the departure ILS. I have my UAC down to min, as I got fed up with Windows10 prompting on every application. My MCE is installed on a separate drive to Windows. FSX is set to run as administrator, although not sure whether I reset MCE after the upgrade. Cheers Stuart

Just noticed a strange anomaly. When departing I usually set my Nav1/2 setting on the Q400 to the ILS of the departing runway as part of the procedure for HUD on the Q400. Then on take off the FO announces the following: "minimums" "1000 ft" I don't think he should make such announcements when taking off and climbing!

Can anyone advise what could have caused this? I have reinstalled FTX Global and FTX Norway without success. Any idea how I can resolve this? It's Airports of Norway (AoN) Bergen. However the problem remains even when AoN & AoN Ground are disabled in scenery.cfg. The problem is not restricted to Bergen though. I'm a bit stuck as to what could have caused it? Stuart

Helios123, Given the explanation from Gerald, suggest you try the pmsounds program, as you can tick only the calls you wish to hear. Stuart

Under the MCE monitor tab you can set various speeds for any aircraft and the FO should call out the speeds on take off. For height call you could use pmsounds utility for aircraft that don't have them. http://pmsounds.software.informer.com/1.0/ Maybe it could be something that fs++ might be able to add in the future? Was flying from Europe to UK this afternoon and noticed some strange tile anomalies in the Channel that just looked like sand coloured tiles. Not sure what is causing it. I tried unchecking various Sceneries in the scenery.cfg but to no avail. Initially I only had the following sceneries active in the scenery.cfg in the following order: - Aerosoft Brussels - Horizon VFR Photo Scenery for Central region (destination was Birmingham). - FTX Global and EU LC (for departure from Brussels) - Ultimate Terrain Europe v2 - FSAlitude photo scenery for once in cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've noticed that when I am in TopDown view I am unable to zoom in or out, either using +/- or the mouse wheel. I have checked Camera.cfg and the TopDown section has Zoom=True. Does anyone know if this is a known issue when EZDOK is installed? If so then I can live with it, but if the is a solution that would be great. Any ideas? Stuart

Machuca, I downloaded all 6 parts this morning from mega using the links above but although they appeared to download successfully, I could only open part 1 using 7zip. None of the others would open. They were all 716800 bytes but 2-6 just wouldn't open. Is there anywhere else that I might download them from? Many thanks, Stuart
