January 21, 200422 yr I guess there's a lot of you that might want something like this. And I think I'm going to sacrifise a part of my webspace soon (after exams) to making this reality (FINALLY)Ok, it won't be www.cockpitdimentions.com cuz I'm not going to register & pay for such a name :( But I'll let you know in time the correct URL.If someone has any good plans or dimention lists of ANY type of airplane, pls feel free to share them with me on [email protected] DO NOT do the next thing:Send me a ton of pictures taken with a measuring equipment .. I don't have this kind of webspace to host this :(What I'm looking for is txt files with first basic info. Joined with a few GIF! files in which you show the part, panel, etc in a little drawing (black lines) and some points pointed out in red with a number. The distance between these points can than be given in the txt file. Also Gmax files or Cad files if not to big of cockpits &/OR yoke/throttles etc etc.I'll see allong the way how much further we can go with this. Idea for now is to provide BASIC sizes & dimentions so that people can start planing basics like the shell or panel frames.I've heard a few to many people ask for dimentions and then people reacting "i'll send you an e-mail" :/That's not the way to go .. then these questions will continue to be asked and I get the impression that cockpit building is really starting to BOOM :(So the time is now ! :)I'll make a site at first and upload to it the data I have from Fokker50 as an example of what & how I wish the data.
