March 25, 200422 yr Hello guys,For my home cockpit ( 747-400 ) I am using a 17" lcd monitor lying on it's back and built into the pedestal. On that the Magenta lower eicas and cdu are being displayed. On top of the monitor there is a touchscreen attached. Now I can "push"the cdu keys.later this year i will put a cdu cover+keys on top of it so I can to really push the keys.In my opinion the cheapest and easiest way to have a working cdu. Happy flying, Gerard SaldenTeam Wideview
March 26, 200422 yr Is it possible to put over your TFT monitor a CDU/FMC kit from Flightdecksolutions as a hardware solution? To have the feeling of the real thing and not a touch screen?I mean, how you can protect the monitor? Is the space enought for all the buttons, wires, leds etc?Has anyone do it before?ThanksEddie ArmaosAthens-Greece
