Touch buttons

Featured Replies

Hello guys.. Does anyone know where I can find touch buttons, that with a small amout of pressure, it closes the contact??I don't know if I'm clear enough, but I do not want a regular switch, but one that with a small touch of your finger, it shorts the contact... Maybe if I call it a sensor switch, that shorts when sensing your finger, it's better, but it can't be too sensitive...If someone can send me a link with the datasheet of such, or maybe the product # at mouser.com, it would be very nice..Thanks a lotPaulo

No one?

>No one?Paolo,It might be that your question was too easy, the world is full of touch buttons, you know, just search in theis forum, or Google for it ... ;-)Try http://www.conrad.com part number 70 35 24I use them myself.Nicowww.nicokaan.nlfc.php?vatsim=814584&indicator=OD1&a=pic767.jpg

Paulo,There are quite a variety of such switches. Microswitch makes some that have relatively low activating force. There are several manufacturers of "tactile switches" used in keyboards. These are made to be mounted on a PC board and have a separate cap set on them. One manufacturer is Omron. Operating force ranges from 100 to 200 grams. An approach you might take in locating your desired switch is to look at the on line catalogs of distributors like Mouser, Digi-Key and Farnell to find the names of manufacturers that make switches similar to what you need. Then go to the manufacturers' sites to get more detailed technical information such as the operating force.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
