May 10, 200422 yr Alex,It is my belief that the simplest sim that is flying is better then the most elaborate realistic, down to the proper primer color, sim that doesn JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. My last was a T-6 IIAMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D@ 5.1 GHz, 32 GB DDR5 RAM - 3 M2 Drives. 1 TB Boot, 2 TB Sim drive, 2 TB Add-on Drive, 6TB Backup data hard driveRTX 3080 10GB VRAM, Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
May 10, 200422 yr John, thx fr the kind and encouraging words.I think you made a pretty good point here. Even with my sim it will take you about 15 minutes to fire everything up (external programs etc.) in order to fly a pattern. Something seem to always not work right, a USB device disconnects, stuff falls apart, etc.. Already now the setup needs as much maintenance as real plane :-). I have build it up step by step but I really consider it kind of finished now, expect some smaller, only esthetical stuff. Because finally I want to have soemthing I still can enjoy during an hour after a day of work.Alex
