July 16, 200421 yr I have been threatening to post pictures of the center mounted control stick I am working on for my T-38 sim. Well, as promised, here they are. This is a prototype version of the stick. I am using it to work out the springing and trim. I have used it in MSFS and it works well. The handle is from a Suncom F-15 stick. All of the buttons have been rewired through one of Leo Lavaca JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. July 16, 200421 yr Nicely done, John!Does the white cylinder provide damping for pitch movement? Also, where did you source your gears?Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
July 16, 200421 yr Author Thanks Mike,Yes, the white cylinder is my home made dampener and artificial tactile sensitivity control assembly. In other words it is two compression springs with a piston in the middle connected to the control lever. While it works fairly well, I am still not perfectly happy with it. I originally calculated that I needed a spring JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. July 16, 200421 yr Author That is a good idea. Doesn't one of the body-building companies use that for their equipment?John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer.
