As a starter examples are given of simulator cockpits to give a feeling of what this is all about. Followed by a basic introduction to a simulator cockpit architecture. Following this introduction, in sequential order the various possible components of a simulator cockpit are discussed. In order to give a broader impression of the simulator cockpit 'world' an overview of simulator cockpit suppliers and the simulator cockpit community is given. The objective of this article not to reproduce all the information / knowledge available, but to create an overview of the options available and point you the way by means of more than 600 included links.Enjoy browsing DC-3 experience !Herman.

:-lolhow long has this been online ?if not long .. i've seen it :Di am currently in the process of browsing trough every single site from the home sim builders registry and I passed your site earlyer today. looked like another fine info source. though I'd prefer gathering most info & links on the wiki ..either way, good job :)i'm down to the last 62 out of 309 ... 'f cours not all have a site .. and not all sites mentioned work .. (someone should clean it out and add "http://" in front of all urls that doesn't have that cuz you end up having the url of the HSB + url from site which obviously can not be found :(all hail to error 404 :-lol

Thank you for giving us a simple, logical and succinct introduction to sim-building. I think that AVSIM should set a banner advising all new sim-builders to view your site first of all, then Mike Powell
