CTX PanoView 540 LCD monitor mounting in MIP

Featured Replies

Happy New Year to everyone. Now that the mind has de-fogged a little I am looking for some information on how to dismantle a CTX Panoview 540 monitor so that I can mount it in my MIP.I do remember seeing a post by someone in the UK who had done this but do not seem to be able to find it.Specifically I am wanting to know how to get the custom connection out of the base and adjustment arm. The stand has a standard 15 pin 'D' type VGA and power connectors, but when you take the stand off this changes into a custom connection to the main controller board. I have tried to take this apart but without success. I would love to be able to use this so that I do not have to mount the whole case behind the MIP and suffer having them sit too far apart and deep behind.Sorry there are no pictures included to help explain but my digital camera suffered a UFIT (un-controlled flight into terrain) whilst I was fogging the brain over Christmas.:-(Thanks in advance for any comments. The Porcupine a.k.a SimonGeneric twin jet desktop under construction (slowely!!).
