February 12, 200521 yr Here are some pictures showing the construction of the sim base and major components. The first picture is the base structure. The sim is designed to be easily (I hope) disassembled for movement. The sides will fit into the little squares and be held in place by bolts.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/106587.jpgThe rudder pedals temporarily positioned will be adjustable fore and aft by 6 JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. February 12, 200521 yr Hi John, A few years ago when I started out in sim building, my first sim was a T38. Back in those days there were no servo driven instruments and no phidgets etc. I made my instruments(dummies) from plasticard, spraypaint, clear acrylic sheet and letraset lettering. I still have some of those instruments that I keep for old times sake. My "cockpit" was made from MDF,plywood and timber. Somewhere, I have fotos of my then 4 year old daughter sitting in the "pit" as well as a book dedicated to the F5 which I used for reference. All the best with your sim,it's already way better than what I had, but the bug gets a bite and not even a doctor can find a cure for SIMS ! Have a look at my current setup http://simflight.fotopic.net
