March 12, 200521 yr It seems that a real flap gauge is on the market. According to the guys at Flight Illusion, their single needle gauge can be customised to any single needle instrument bij means of changing the faceplate and assign the flaps setting through the driver software.Their is a picture of such a flaps indicator on their website:http://www.flightillusion.comThe instruments are also very thin.Since I already bought some engine instruments from them, I might as well go for the flaps indicator.I'll keep you posted
March 13, 200521 yr OK. So I have been to their website and have seen all of the wonderful pictures. But what about pricing? There seems to be no indication of how much these units cost. I am not ready to jump on a product when there are no prices. The only time I have seen things on the net advertised without pricing, it has been to expensive for the average simmer to afford. MiltP.S. If anyone knows of any pricing, please inform the rest of us.
March 13, 200521 yr Milt,There seem to be a newsitom on http://www.simflight.com that speeks about a pricesetting between 140
March 13, 200521 yr I'm a stupid guy. Of course the euro is worth more than the dollar. The currency rate is 1.347. That would make 140 $ in my axample 188 USDsorry for thathope those guy's at FI forgive me, but it's their fault and they should also give their prices in USD
March 17, 200521 yr "(...) but it's their fault and they should also give their prices in USD (...)"Why? You can figure out the price in USD within a matter of seconds. Europeans never seem to have any problem converting dollars to euros, so why would Americans have any problem converting the other way around?Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

March 17, 200521 yr You can build a easy and cheap flap gauge... This is a example of flaps gauge build with some gears, a servo-motor and IOcard for control all... http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?na...e&album=1&pos=7
March 30, 200521 yr >They already lost my business by spamming me.. Big deal... I like the way their stuff looks. I don't mind to be 'spammed' by them because I'm interested in the kind of products they make.
