Hangstrom encoder & FS2004 keys

Featured Replies

I am presently Messing around with keying up my FS2004 using the KE72 keyboard endcoder. I have no trouble compiling and getting the thing to work but being new at this, what do you do when FS2004 has no assisgn key to a specific duty. IE: Taxi Lights. I have tryed setting a key with FSUIPC but works fine on the keyboard but when I set it up in the encoder, nothing happens. The encoder works fine with natural coding such IE: Battery = N but doesn't seem to read the FSUIPC. Any help on this would be appreciated since I am new at this, thought this would be the best place to turn. Thanks, Hawk

Hi,>what do you do when FS2004 has no assisgn key >to a specific duty. IE:Taxi Lights. One way is to define a key for a mouseclick, you can use key2mouse for that:http://www.wideview.it/key2mouse.htm>fine on the keyboard but when I set it up in the encoder,>nothing happens. The encoder works fine with natural coding>such IE: Battery = N but doesn't seem to read the FSUIPC. This might be a timing issue. The Hagstrom encoder generates the key to short for FSUIPC to recognise it. Define the key in such a way: make the key, wait 160 ms, release the key. You can look at an example, a .cfg file that I have made for the LevelD FMC; see my Downloads page of my websiteNicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png
