There's a new forum for people who know the dutch language. So folks from NL or BE or SouthAfr or anywhere else are welcome to join @ http://www.flightdeckbuilder.nl/Cheers!

Just had a look.. seems like yet another try, but I don't give it much chance, there are already better (dutch) forums. Maybe if there was some unique content on the site, or a special tool of some kind. But this is just yet another forum.

Greetings guys!Although as a Dutchman I can of course understand your postings, I'd like to point out that the vast majority of readers on this international forum can NOT. It's bloody impolite and bad-mannered to have a private conversation in your own lingo on a public forum that uses English as the common language. Heeft je moeder je geen manieren geleerd? (Didn't your mother teach you good manners?)Jaap Verduijn.

Greetings to you too. What my mom did or did not do is not relevant at all. What is relevant is that this posting does not address anyone not-dutch-speaking. And if it is or is not polite, it happens from time to time. I've seen spanish here more often and some german as well. No'one complained. So I can't understand your frustration now. Or no, wait, I can. I am starting to understand now that there are lots of people from NL visiting fora nowadays and they seem quite ######y 'bout what other people do. I'd suggest staying at your own case and not criticise everyone. It's not your job to mod this forum.MvG,

Nicely said.If we post something in Dutch, it's because the others don't really don't need to know. And do they look like they care?

The fact i don't go yelling at everybody is for my own health.Should i puruse everything and everybody i don't like, i'd be...Well ok.Anyway, in a community it is true that there are rules, and one of these (and well known too) is to only speak a language shared by the whole community. This community is multi-ethnic so the accepted language is English.Should you want to have a Dutch conversation, there are many ways:email, private messages on the forum, instant mesaging with your preferred client, etc...I never sayed anything at people speaking their own language, as the phenomenon remained fairly small, but i never liked it eighter.I come here to read something interesting, and it's disturbing to find unreadable discussions. Were you taling about cooking the pork in traditional Dutch souce? All the more do not do it here. Also i don't really like spreading the base so largerly: each one wants his own forum. This way there are 10 people here, other 8 in the dutch, another 14 in the german, and so on...No comprehensive resource is available, as all the knowledge is scattered in different places and in different languages too.For example i really hate the fact that Kirk Anderseck holds that german forum: he realized such a usefull hardware and he is practically not providing any help.Well enough for that.Have a nice day.

Hi Philip,I'am afraid it will not become what we hope. The number of Dutch speaking simbuilders is simply to small. I prefer an international Forum like this. Most native Dutch speakers are also able to read and write in English anyway, so I really do not feel the need for such a site.Nicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png
