June 27, 200520 yr I got some information off from this website http://users.skynet.be/plipke/PF50HC/LPTswitch/index2.htmlJust wondering if anyone have tried it? is it working good? any drawbacks? would it be worth to use for sim? speaking of that if I could hook it on another PC that does not have FS installed, but using wideview could that still get to work? If you guys experienced it let me know
June 28, 200520 yr Hi ArthurI build a testboard once, with 40 buttons, and it works fine, however I don't use it anymore.I would say its a bit buggy, at least the version I used. I can't say how it works nowadays.I now use the opencockpit system for my sim and it works great. In fact if you just need pushbuttons linked to keypresses, they have a USB connected keyboard encoder http://www.opencockpits.com/images/2t8.jpgCompletely built and tested it costs
June 28, 200520 yr I just thought of using LPT-Switch for CDU as if it was for free. But like you said it's bit buggy... can you tell me what kind of bugs does it encounters?OC sure have good stuffs, how many buttons does USB linked encoders have?

But like you said it's bit buggy... can you tell me what>kind of bugs does it encounters? For a CDU you can also use the good old "dissect a usb keyboard" trick..Though the opencockpits one might even be easier and cheaper to get.http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?na...showpage&pid=5424 euros for completely built one, 21 euros or parts + board.//T
June 30, 200520 yr Hi Arthur,I tried it. Did make two. Both worked on a laptop of my son, but did'nt work on my flying PC.(For most of us that's of some importance ....)Philippe was so kind to give some help, but that was'nt successfull.Afterwards I bought the same encoder as Scotte: works flawless !Hessel Oosten, Netherlandshttp://members.chello.nl/h.oosten/Plaatjes.htm
