July 22, 200520 yr Hi,Does anybody know where I can find good slide potentiometers, linear ? I have been looking everywhere, no luck so far. I would use them to connect to the yokes, rudder and throttles. Thanks !Marnix
July 22, 200520 yr Marnix,DigiKey carries slide potentiometers. Here's a link to one of DigiKey's catalog pages http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T052/1121.pdfMikewww.mikesflightdeck.com
July 23, 200520 yr Mike,Doesn't he need to make sure he gets linear pots and not the music ones? If I recall correctly, many slide pots are for audio boards? I know I found some 50K and 100K pots to replace some in my SunCom throttle system at either DigKey or Mouser.John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. My last was a T-6 IIAMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D@ 5.1 GHz, 32 GB DDR5 RAM - 3 M2 Drives. 1 TB Boot, 2 TB Sim drive, 2 TB Add-on Drive, 6TB Backup data hard driveRTX 3080 10GB VRAM, Meta Quest 3 VR Headset

July 23, 200520 yr mouser.com. They will send you a free catalog...and keep sending it too about every quarter or sooner.I use the catalog to shop, but I order on-line.
July 23, 200520 yr John,You are correct. The pot selected should have a linear resistance taper. Most pots intended for audio applications are log taper, and would be unsuitable.Buried in the page is a chart that shows the available tapers. "D" is the linear one. Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.com

You can also download the whole catalog in PDF from their site, it's about 40MB. Very handy, since it's very useful to browse it through, when you look for switches etc - since very often one is looking for a certain look for the switch as well. The catalog has pictures.Digikey.com has also a good selection of stuff (also for people in the US, like mouser, though both send overseas too) - and they also have a catalog for download if I remember correctly. At least ALPS makes those long slide pots btw, so browsing by manufacturer might get you something too.//Tuomas
