September 7, 200520 yr Well, after months of bathroom remodeling, I once again started browsing eBay for the missing piece to make the instrument panel in my T-38C sim. Would you believe it? I found a 12" LCD monitor that would work for the PFD between the pilot's legs on eBay.It was only $75 so I bought it on the spot. I have been trying for a year to find a 12" LCD that is not some laptop screen or a car DVD player.Anyway, after weeks of waiting for it to arrive, I email the seller and asked where it was? He replied that he had sent it on Aug.23rd, along with the UPS tracking number. I checked on it. It arrived in New Orleans the day before hurricane Katrina and never left.I'm screwed!:(John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. September 7, 200520 yr Same here, I ordered 3 real toggle switch from e-bay... They sent the package (Ground Delvery) from Tennesee, but stopped at New Orleans before enrouting to Texas. And it got lost on the day before Katrina arrived. :(. I didn't have to worry because my package were insured (THANK GOD, Normally I never request for it). Did you have insurance on your package? If so, you could always get money back and order another one again, make sure you check weather ahead before ordering :)
September 8, 200520 yr Author Yes, it was insured. The problem it that it hard to find this size monitor anymore. I will be turning it 90 deg. and have it between the pilot's knees.I filed a lost claim. I am hoping that it is just sitting on a shelf waiting for the trucks to deliver it and not ripped of by some looter or sitting in 10 feet of water.John JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. September 8, 200520 yr Ah, I see what you mean. I'd feel same way as you do. Just keep your finger crossed hope yoy'd be in luck :)
