Well actually what I find strange is the fact nobody has ever tried to build one of these motion platforms. This is no precision mechanic at all, building a CNC could be more challenging for instance (I know that since I'm currently building one :))...

I was there yesterday looking at your yoke, so I have seen your work. It's inspiring. Just a reminder for others, that you could spend $10,000 on a good cnc machine, but for what we need it can be done for a lot less with almost equal results.dd44, if you are building a cnc machine, you obviously have some building knowledge. Why don't you look at other peoples motion designs and develop your own. I came across a guy who was building one using Pnuematics and integrating fuzzy logic to compensate for the bounce with compressed air. Lateral thinking. There a lots of diffent ways that can be low or lower cost.Proprietry built ones will always cost an arm and a leg for what they actually are.
