Hi there Zsolt,>I just installed an older version of this great software. >It has a Cdu which doesn't work for me.The FMC/CDU has never worked in FreeFD>I tried the newer version but the Cdu is not in the package. Can you tell use the version number of the ND in your newer package?>Is there any solution for a working cdu?>I can't afford Project Magenta.Yes there is, and its is FREE :-) , very popular price in this day and age! Check this out http://p8rsoft.nl.eu.org/ It seems to work well enough, so long as you are using FS2004 (aka FS9) It even has LNAV & VNAV functions that can be wired via a hacked keyboard or interface. I also believe you can display the route generated on the FreeFD ND!RegardsSimonaka The Porcupinewww.desktopflying.co.uk (severely in need of am update)Very slowely putting together a generic(ish) twin desktop unit.

Is there another pointer to the CDU stuff?many thanksregardsPeter

Can anyone also send a copy to FreeFD to me too? Project Magenta costs a fortune in my opinon.siowkh(at)singnet(dot)com(dot)sgBtw Simon, I have been looking at your website for a long time. A planner now. I am just thinking, what kind of interface are you planning to use to interface the MCP's 7 segs and the other hardware on the MCP with FreeFD? IOCards?Best Regards,Kai Hong

For those of you that want a copy of FreeFD,I still have an old copy in the download section my site www.boeing737.tkIf you click on the download section in the menu, there's a link for FreeFD. I'm just not sure which version it is, but maybe it helps....regards,www.boeing737.tk

Also rememeber that the RealityXP Jetline4 is one possible alternative to Project Magenta as well. It's a FS gauge even, without openGL, thus you can run it on the same PC as everything else.I would think a very nice and even realistic avionics system could be built by combining the Jetline 4 or 2 and the Professional dual GNS430+530 into one - GNS as navigation computer and the jetline as displays. As far as I know they should work together nicely?Has anyone done something like this?//Tuomas
