Just to let you know that I have just sent to Nico the latest FSBus definition file (fsif.ini) that enables the use of FSBUS hardware with the LevelD 767 with the combination of Nico's FSCONV program. It should be available shortly when Nico is able to upload it to his downloads section. The definitions reflect the latest changes of FSConv ver 4.0.4 or higher.LevelD 767 with applied latest SP2 is required, as well as FSConv which you can find at Nico's site (http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/)Note that not all the available offsets are defined for FSBus use. Some offsets that use dual bits for setting a value are not supported by FSBus yet. If you have any idea as to how to make FSBus aware of them, let me know. For any problems you may have, add to this topic.Happy flying!George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png

Hi GeorgeThanks for your work on this. My own FSIF.ini for FSCONV404 is very customised (eg no AFDS as I have aerosoft MCP) for my own use and not suitable to make generally available....that's why I didn't offer it to you or Nico earlier on.I'm wondering if you have had any problems with FSBUS241. I still have problems with some FSkey outputs...the switch operates in the router (ie switches 0 to 1)but if associated with a Keyboard key the key is not recognised by FS, or is the incorrect key). No problems with FSbus Ver 2.2 using exactly the same FSIF.ini and fb2 files.Displays and led outputs are normal for both FSbus versions....I only have problems with the FSkey outputs.I have not used FSadmin at all as I have assumed that is only for the NG boards....can you confirm this?I am using Classic boards only and have set up that configuration in the router, my 3 FSkey boards are cid 1,2 and 3...all fsdisplay and fsled boards are 9 onwards. Can you also confirm for me that you are trouble free with the new FSbus, in particular with switches set up with Keyboard outputs.Any help appreciated

Hi Ian,Unfortunately I have not setup any keyboard commands yet, so I can't confirm if there is indeed a problem with that.I will try that this weekend (hopefully) and see what goes...BUTIf my memory serves me well, there was a bug in FSBus that the savedfb2 file saved the keyboard commands to CID 1 instead of CID 0.Check the file and correct these and you should probably be alright. From what I've read on the docs of the new FSBus the FSAdmin is only for the new NG cards. Not required for the classics.Your CID numbering is correct. And a small advise to those starting now.Prefere PHILIPS ICs. I have had problems with ghost keys, changing values etc until I changed all my ICs (TI, Motorola etc mix) to Philips. No problems thereafter.Edit : BTW, the link in your signature no longer works. Gives a 4042nd Edit : As I see now the Simhardware forums have been attacked by hackers!"Our forums have been attacked by a hacker, and have been shutdown.Anyone wishing to retrieve their brag sheet or contact us for support of purchased software can use the contact us from on our homepage. >Hi GeorgeThanks for the reply and the info on my Simhardware forum page....wasn't aware of that! Regarding your other comments: >If my memory serves me well, there was a bug in FSBus that the>saved>fb2 file saved the keyboard commands to CID 1 instead of CID>0.>Check the file and correct these and you should probably be>alright.Yes I am very much aware of this, and remember I'm using the same fb2 file for ver 2.4.1 that I use in version 2.2....only the new version gives me problems with key commands. >>From what I've read on the docs of the new FSBus the FSAdmin>is only for the new NG cards. Not required for the classics.>Your CID numbering is correct. That was my interpretation too so thanks for confirming you think the same.>And a small advise to those starting now.>Prefere PHILIPS ICs. I have had problems with ghost keys,>changing values etc until I changed all my ICs (TI, Motorola>etc mix) to Philips.>No problems thereafter. This is really good to know....I know the problems you are talking about....is it only the PIC's or all ic's?Thanks AgainIan
