Hi,I stumbled on this site and frankly, it was the first time I saw this kind of mechanism for a moving table. Maybe it gives someone an idea for controlling a platform without the use of pneumatics of hydraulics:http://www.prsco.com/Regards,Hugo

Great link, thanks. However I think these tables are meant to be used with a miller or similar machine tools . Repeatability and precision are the main features of these items,so it must be really expensive and these arent specs that matter the most for a platform.

Of course this one is for an high precision CNC machine, but I am thinking of a triangular frame in stead of a circular, on each site two chariots connected by a spindle with a left and right threath and serviced by one servomotor each (an interesting site about servos and CNC in general is CNCzone.com, look for the DIY UHU servocontroller, really low cost). Turning the table around isn't necessary for a FS.Regards,Hugo
