FSBUS NG : Problem with IO card

Featured Replies

Thank you for your suggest. The problem that i have is that i can light the led when i use the FSADMIN DO test. I cannot have any results when i try to light them with DO/LED test on FSROUTER. Keyswitch test and display test are instead working fineThe compatibility is set on NG only mode.Any suggest?Thank you Ambro

If the leds works in fsadmin, then the jumpers on j14/15 are already set.I did not test more than fsadmin at this moment. Will try in fsbus the next days. Will let you know.norbert

Well LEDS tested in FSBUS , everything is working fine.SettingsCID (of your IO card)RID 0-15 RID 0-7 are leds of port A , pin 1 and 2 form RID 0, pin 15/16 are RID 7)RID 8-15 are leds of port B , pin 1 and 2 form RID 8, pin 15/16 are RID 15)SID stays always on 0.J 14 and 15 has 2 be set (lower 2 pins are to be connected)regards Norbert

Hi everyone,Me and my friend are trying to run an FSBUS according to schematics, layout, docs and firmware updated 3.5.06.During our work with it , we have encountered a problem. It is connected with an I/O module. In FS Admin everything works correctly. Switch and led work fine in every port. The problem is when we are trying to use them in a program FS ROuter. There are a few problems:1. Switch is working correctly in every port, but Auto Sense is only workin in port J6 in one position: 0,0.2. Led`s are not working. In DO (LED) Test Leds also not working. And there is strange situation. When we mark any LED from the first line ( RID = 0 ) it causes I/O Module reset - red LED is showing number of CID.The most important for us is a problem number 2. We had also succesfull used a switch to operate gear in FS 2002. But we would like to use leds because our main task is MCP.Could You please help us? What is a problem? How to solve it?Please help us.

Strange situation. I had some problem when i assembled the board, i checked it few time and each time i found some little problem i.e. strip shorted, bad soldering and so on, they were the origin of some led blinking and strange reading on key ports. So i suggest you to check if everything in the hardware is ok, then download the firmware version 18.3.06. If you have an oscilloscope check the signal in according with the manual. On my board (LVL D 767) i assigned these led to the following MCP function try to emulate them and check if they are working.RID SID AssignementPort A 0 0 CMDR1 0 CMDC2 0 CMDL3 0 BCRS4 0 LOC5 0 APP6 0 ALT Hold7 0 VSPort B 8 0 FLCH9 0 HDG hold10 0 VNAV11 0 LNAV12 0 N113 0 SPD14 0 15 0 regardsAmbro

It`s still the same. I have checked everything. Could anyone who has working FSBUS NG cockpit send me his full software. Maybe that`s the problem.I have also one more question. In FS Router there is LED test but on the picture I can see different board than I/O. So where I can check in FS Router Leds attached to I/O module? Please help me.

If you use NG boards: Test your hardware (leds and switches) with fsadmin. NOT in the router sw, that is for testing the OLD classic boards. So check your leds in FSADMIN.

Thank you. Now it`s workin in FS Admin. So how to define LED`s on IO? Which element is it in FS Router?
