May 12, 200620 yr Has anyone tried this combination?I'm thinking about disassembling an old overhead projector - it has a thick glass plate which seems to be coupled to a fresnel somehow - and experimenting with setting up a CRT under it, where it would be projected (albeit probably pretty dimly) onto a screen through the original optics of the overhead projector. But I thought I'd ask in case anyone had tried it.I did see a few posts but they generally involved either a 640 x 480 built-in LCD or an LCD placed onto the glass. Thanks,Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
May 13, 200620 yr The problem with CRT's is that they don't have light passing trough them, like LCD's (wich are basicly overhead cheets that change color).CRT's emit light themselves, and I don't see how you could make this work with an overhead projector
May 13, 200620 yr What about a CRT projector?? They are those with like with 3 light bulbs RED, BLUE AND GREEN... Have anyone tried those out?? Roberto

Using a fresnel with a monitor will give you a better quality image with the same budget.//Tuomas
May 14, 200620 yr Those have very powerfull CRT's in them, emitting light you don't want to stare into :)That's what makes them so expensive as well
May 16, 200620 yr Author Well, I'll do some thinking on that.I would like to see a fresnel enlarger in action - I tried a cheap-o fresnel magnifier from an office supply store with poor results.thxAndrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
