September 14, 200718 yr Is it possible to retrieve the physical position of a switch? I would like to use one set of rotaries to control NAV1&2, COM1&2 by employing a select switch, but FSBUS has trouble (at least on startup) recognizing where the switches are. Thanks in advance,Eric
September 14, 200718 yr Hi Eric,That's a problem in a more interface systems. I cannot speak for FSBUS, but in IOcards I have faced similar problems. I have found a work around in using a toggle type switch with 3 terminals (SPDT-single pole double throw): one ground and one for each position. In SIOC (of IOCards) you then define two variables one for each position. Since the switch is always in a position, always one of the two contacts will be closed and therefore detected by the electronics of the interface card.If you use only one termial (and ground), the switch is at start up not detected in one of the two positions (at least with IOCards hardware, but maybe FSBUS is having similar problems). My 2 ctsNicohttp://www.nicokaan.nl
