Hi Jack,What do you want to know of about the PFC stand column yoke? Mine is not the 737 yoke, but the previous SAAB 340 version yoke.Alkit

>Hi Jack,>What do you want to know of about the PFC stand column yoke?>Mine is not the 737 yoke, but the previous SAAB 340 version>yoke.>AlkitHi Alkit,I assume that the SAAB340 version is a column yoke design and not the Cirrus style (attached to corner of desktop type). I have owned the Cirrus style before and was disappointed with it. There was a lot of play in the yoke...approx. 1/2 inch or so...and it did not halfway resemble the real forces experienced in a real cockpit. I know that we are not talking the real deal here but for the price, I wasn't impressed.I would like to know what you think of the column yoke forces and the amount of play in the pitch axis. With the Cirrus, I could move the column in the pitch axis with my little finger. This was highly unrealistic and I returned the yoke to PFC. Does the column yoke have a tension that would be considered closely mirroring the hydraulic dampening feel of a real airliner yoke?I assume that the new 737NG yoke that PFC is now offering is nothing more than the old column yoke with a redesigned Boeing style 737NG handle.Any other thoughts on your current yoke or others would be helpful. Thanks for responding.jack

But If you check Ebay right now, It seems like somebody is selling an authentic looking 737NG Yoke for lesser price

Hi Rob,Thanks for the link. I emailed the guy and he told me that the NG yoke is manufactured in Canada. I know that the PFC NG yoke is going for 1295 USD and the one in Canada is roughly half the price. I'm trying to determine where this product is being manufactured. It looks great but you always question whether or not it will perform in a manner that meets or exceeds the one being marketed and sold by Precision Flight Controls in Calif.Very interesting. Anybody have any comments on any of these posts?Regards, jack

I doubt that would be the actual cost if he was selling it through a company with bills to pay. Last I checked the bid was over 900. I had it in my watch list. I wish I could have purchased it. Maybe something to put on my wishlist for 2008!
