Dash-8

Featured Replies

Hi,I have downloaded that great Dash-8 Aircraft a few days ago. I also have been reading this forum daily. My problem is: When I load the aircraft, I don't hear any sound at all! I am not new to FS2002, I have installed the aircraft as described. Any help?

HiWhen you load the aircraft the engines are off by default. Have you started the plane and still hear no sounds?Take careMike

Mike,The engines are already started and I still can't hear any sounds.

I don't know if this is your problem or not but the install instructions say to make sure your sound card is enabled for at least 8 wave buffers for simultaneous playback. I am using Windows XP with the onboard sound on my Asus A7 board. For me there is no wave buffer setting but the sounds work ok.Good luck!

>Mike, >The engines are already started and I still can't hear any >sounds. How do you know the engines are started? -- this aircraft always loads with engines cold!I think you might be hearing the Auxilary power unit -- I know when I first started trying out this aircraft , I thought the sounds I could hear were the engines. You WILL know the engine sound when you figure out how to start them (and that's not easy - but is if you follow the test flight instructions to the letter)Barry
