C177 repaint Question

Featured Replies

I have been repainting Flight One's Cessna C177. My question is, after I've done the repainting, I save it as a .BMP file, then use tex o Matic to put it in flight sim. After going to the sim, I only find one repaint on all the repaints I've done, meaning all the planes look the same. What am I doing wrong here? I've named them differently in the Variation title in Texomatic, but no luck. Any help would be appriciated.MattP.s. I've noticed that when saving in .BMP format, no reflective surfaces are available. Can you save in a different file format to get reflective surfaces? I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7

The alpha channel is processed by creating a second bitmap with the same name as the one you've made but with _a on the end. For example, if your template is named 'C177B_N177BC.bmp' your alpha channel would be named 'C177B_N177BC_a.bmp'. The alpha channel should be included with the template, as it was with the Archer. Lastly, never process the textures to aircraft that have alpha channels from the desktop, or the alpha channel will not appear.Hope I could help with that part, I'm not sure about how to help with your first question.Scott

As with all the planes using Text-O-Matic, there are two sections that should be unique, the Variation Name, and the Unique 5-digit ID. I suspect that you're not giving each repaint the unique ID, which is actually used to name the Texture folder.
