September 2, 200223 yr Would someone tell me if LAGO sells their products in stores such as CompUSA, Best Buy, etc. in the US or are all sales on-line?Thanks, Mike
September 2, 200223 yr Mike:I have never seen any LAGO programs at Best Buy, CompUSA or similar large stores. The only retail store I have seen them at is at software etc/babages. Their website is www.gamestop.com Their stores carry wilco stuff as well. They seem to carry lots of different addons for fs. Hope this helps,John

We will be present in more US stores soon as we have found a new distributor who will be more active, but the US market is very expensive for us. The retail margin is very high (you pay on average more than we do in Europe and we get less money for that sale) and the conditions are near suicidal:-) That is why we do not consider the boxe dmarket to be very important for us.We also believe that some of the products we do should not be sold at boxed prices because they are not worth that amnount of money. Sounds strange for me to say so but I honestly believe a lot of FS addon software is really overpriced. If you add the box, retail margin, shipping etc to a product you are talking serious money. And what do you get? Most probably less up to date code of the same problem. We update our products online very often and most of the time the boxed version is (slightly) outdate when you buy it.The last products I bought boxed was Windows XP, Office XP and Install Shield . All software I buy online in download versions.Mathijs KokLAGO
September 2, 200223 yr Mathijs,I knew I always respected you for a really good reason (or a dozen of so) ;-).To paraphrase: "We really don't want to overcharge for something we know is not worth it just for a pretty box on a shelf."I love it!Now if only more people would think like you guys! :-lol That goes for the product quality and support as well.I don't suppose you guys would want to license ACLoader and sell it would you? V4 is moving along! ;-)
