Reflective Textures for Mike's New B757

Featured Replies

Hi happy simmers.Mike Stone released his latest creation the other day and I of course have now had my tinker with his default textures.I have created a master blank set of textures now for Mike's B757 and am able to create alternative textureshttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/b757-blankmaster-1.jpghttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/b757-blankmaster-2.jpgThe first task, as always is to create enhanced versions of Mike's existing default liveries - all five textures have been revamped and are now available for download - I won't waste forum space by posting each image here but you are welcome to visit my brand new page for Mike's B757 textures (see link below). In addition, I have created a blank set of textures to accommodate Freighter versions of the B757. This livery was done to test the textures.http://www.gjsmith.com/images/4-toes-2.jpghttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/4-toes-3.jpgThese textures are now all available on the new B757 page on my site.http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/b757.htmDon't forget there are over 240 free textures now available on my site for your flying pleasure.http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/by-type.htmRegardsGarry J. Oh man Garry! I give up! LOL!!! I will concour this alpha stuff yet! But if the market for semi-transparent aircraft gets going, I'll be right there! :(Looks really good buddy!Don

Don,Transparency will occur if you are creating a DXT3 with reflective shading in the alpha for aircraft that are NOT GMAX created - other aircraft from other creation tools use the alpha for transparency in many cases and that will make the aircraft look see through. This can be used effectively in some cases - I created this Coursair for CFS2 just for fun.http://www.gjsmith.com/control2000/Images/transparent2.jpgIt was great for multi player mode - real bugger to see until you were close and close means the advantage is yours... - not that I have ever flown in multi player mode - I hardly every get a chance to play with the sims.Garry J. Hi Garry,It may be me doing something wrong with these B757 textures: But I'm seeing 2 of the "right wing" and no "left wing" textures. As I say, this could be me not understanding the texture files :)Thanks again for your work.Bruce.

Hi Bruce,Just checked my left and right wing zip files - thought I had made an error - but they are definately left and right.I suspect that you might have saved the right wing texture over both the left and right _t files in the directory.Check that - I hope that helpsRegardsGarry J. Thanks- I'll check that.Bruce.

No- I'll go take a look. Thanks, Garry.Bruce.PS. Do you have B727 textures on that some B757 page too, for AA?BK.

My B727's are on their own page.If you go to:http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/by-type.htmYou will find each aircraft type that I have done.Unfortunately I have not yet done a 727 in AA liveries - but I have seen some other textures already done for the 727 I think. I might have a go at my type of 727 in AA a little later.RegardsGarry J. Smith at http://www.gjsmith.comAircraft Texture Tinkererhttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/GJS-banner.gif

Hi Garry,You may have a slight typo on your site:"Click on image below to ENLARGE B757 Downloads Size B757-American.zipPlace in any of the texture directories.Including Night Textures 305k B727-American-2.zipPlace in any of the texture directories.Including Night Textures 263k "That's the reference to the B727 that I saw on the B757 page. I think this may be the 757 AA textures that you're referring to.Thanks for all your good work,Bruce.
