EDITVOICEPACK PROBLEM,NEED HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi!everyone,I don't know if i didn't do it right or it's some kind of bug? every time that I add some new callsign then some of the previously added callsign just disappeared from the airlines.cfg, and that callsign don't work any more.this is very frustrating.if anyone can show me step by step,I'll appreciate your help.thanks!steve

Make sure you are going to the top of the page where it says "+airline" right click and choose "create" to insert a new airline name. If you don't do this then you will ovewrite one of the existing names.

I think that he is talking about using an already made voicepak and updating the airline.cfg file. I have this same thing happening to me. You would import in several dozen or so airline voice paks at one time, update your voicepak and airline.cfg file, exit the program, and then if you were to add more at a later date you would loose all of the others you have already added. To me this is a bug in the program.

i've had this happen to.here's what you need to do: when you 1st add voices and update the file, make sure you save it as a newly created voice file. after this, anytime you want to add additional files, MAKE SURE you IMPORT your saved file 1st...then add the additional files....this way the additional files will always be added to your created file.chris

Yes Chris, I found that works out to be best also.

thanks,everyone,I'll try that later tonight.

To me it's 5% inconvinient program design (done for technical reasons, not becourse I don't know better), and 95% RTFM:Writes the defined words to the Flight Simulator voice file. Any previously defined words not included any more, will be removed. If you want to include words from different files, use the Import functionality first.Version 2.0 will automatically keep it's own master file - so only "Import" will be available, hence the confusion should be limited. Unfortunately I added some slightly more complex features, so people not reading docs will probably still be confused. :)2.0 will be released before Christmas - one or another year./Lars
