May 25, 200620 yr Announcing Red Mountain Airlines, a virtual airline offering "flightseeing" opportunities in the American southwest and Mexico within the structure of a VA for FS2002 & FS2004 (and eventually, beyond) pilots of any skill level. We're certainly not the biggest or "best" VA that you'll find, if you're looking for complexity. No virtual economics are involved; our PIREP process will be relatively simple. Your rank is only a level of flight hours, and has no bearing on what aircraft that you may fly within our modern fleet of a Boeing 717 (by Jet City Aircraft), two Bombardier-Canadair CRJ-900 and three CRJ-200s (by POSKY) and three Dash 8-Q200s (by Dreamwings). Our main hub is Williams Gateway (KIWA), in Mesa, Arizona (mistakenly listed in Phoenix within FS), an airport that is now beginning to come into its own as a reliever for Phoenix Sky Harbor (KPHX). There are a few freeware scenery modifications available at AVSIM. These sceneries allow you to make "Willie" into what you'd like it to be, depending on what other add-ons that you may be using. The recently-released Simulating Art Phoenix V2 payware scenery offers a nice rendition of KIWA in 2006, and MegaScenery will release a Phoenix title on the same day that RMA begins flying. Our secondary hub is Tuscon, Arizona is the base for the CRJ-900's and one each of the CRJ-200 & Dash-8. Our third hub is fabulous Las Vegas, home to the B717 and one of the CRJ-200 aircraft. Everything a pilot might need (pilot's manual, PIREP link, etc) will be found on the Pilots' Page. Our bi-monthly "in-flight magazine" page will feature articles about our destinations and other activities relating to our VA and Flight Simulator in general. Pilots are always welcome to contribute magazine content. Enjoy your look around our website: www.redmtnva.com and feel free to fly with us if you wish. Flight operations begin June 1st of 2006.
June 16, 200619 yr Author Beginning July 1, 2006, Red Mountain Airlines will haev a cargo division, Red Mountain Aircargo, flying all-payware. Thus far, we have the Captain Sim 727-200ADV and the Flight1 ATR-72 painted & scheduled, and we're working on adding the feelthere! Caravan as well. Anyone wanting to volunteer to try painting the Captain Sim C-130 in RMA prop livery would be doing us a huge favor, as there's some imaginative flights planned for it, but it is prooving to be a tough repaint to do.
