  1. Still some work left, but we all have to start somewhere. A repaint of the Captain Sim 757 payware might help, since many folks got it as a holiday gift.
  2. Perhaps we are being a bit picky here. There are at least 2 Virgin Atlantic VA's out there. Granted, they are part of conglomerations, but nobody said that you had to fly any of the other affiliated carrier's flights. Both conglomerates represent the entire Virgin family of carriers. The FTG version requires using their somewhat buggy in-house ACARS; the Sim Airline version does not require the use of a client program.
  3. What? no 717?!?!?
  4. ADMIN ALERT!!!There are little to no rules for what constitutes a VA. To pass judgement on another's VA on the realism grounds does not necessarily pass muster. To truly be realistic, a VA would have to maintain a viable schedule and be able to show profitability. Most VA's can't do this sufficiently, even the ones using VAFS or VA Financials. The fact is, many sports teams use full-sized single-aisle aircraft for their charters. It is not just the players who travel, but the coaches, trainers, support staff and VIPs. You perhaps need to do s little fact-checking. Even the presidential campaigns are using 757's.So, Mr. Entrepeneur you'll have to come up with a reasoning behind your assertion, rather than a blanket statement. Support your statements with citiable facts, and use the APA format in your citations. Anything less would not be sholarly, and undeserving of a place on this board. Put yer money where yer mouth is, or shut the #### up.
  5. How about a url to your site?
  6. Looks attractive, but how about a link or url?
  7. Unless I miss my guess, you are referring to the FTG Air France, which seems to be having some issues lately. Flying Tigers Group does have 20 full VA's that one can fly any flight for, and over 60 code-share partners. I would suggest being patient, and addressing your issues via the FTG message board. There's a good bunch of people associated with this VA, and you'll likely get the kind of feedback and help needed if you go this way.
  8. Alas, this seems to be the fate of many VA's these days. The otherwise great, and (until recently) vibrant Midwest VA evaporated too.

The url gets an error message:Error: splitDateObject did not receive a date object.Best wishes for the VA.

VAadmin looks like it is going extinct, with no forum board posts in a year, and VAFS just announced that it will be going payware as of April 1st. There is thus a HUGE void about to become manifest on the VA scene, and I fear that many otherwise nice VA concepts may never see operation without a decent freeware ACARS system that will work with Vista and FSX as well as XP and FS9.

My VA has a Hawaiian division with an identity of its own, and a lot of customization and expandability left over for someone taking it over. There might be some Website help too, although I have the painting covered.
  12. What would be the advantages of this VA over the representation of ATN by the Flying Tigers Group?
  13. It's hard to believe that there's no additional paints for the Q400. I'd love to see Porter, Horizon, Austrian, QANTAS, South African, Lufthansa, JAL Commuter and ANA; the real-world liveries. Any answers?
  14. This VA intrigues me, and I plan to check it out after the year turns. One noticeably missing item from the fleet is the A319CJ, which is available with the Wilco payware package. Another omission is the fun-to-fly pocket rocket from CLS known as the VLJ. Having grown up around VNY, this could be something to get really passionate about, with Santa having bestowed the Wilco Legacy 600 on me.

  17. Pablo Contouris has done a nice job with giving us a 737-200 panel for FSX. I would like for the GPS simicon to actually open the GPS window, but am at a loss as to how to doctor the panel.cfg to achieve this. Can anyone help?
  18. It might be nice to check out your page, but the link in your sig is not valid.

There is the Deer Valley Flying Club that meets this description and beyond, and a host of other VA's based at KPHX. Of course, for somethig a little different, try my own, based at nearby KIWA, the fast-growing regional alternative to Sky Harbor: www.redmtnva.com
  20. Yes, I am logged in as an administrator, and still experience this issue.
  21. Is it me, or is anyone else running FSX on a Vista machine not able to do aircraft.cfg file edits without dragging the file to the desktop first? What's up with that?

Check this out:http://www.fly-va.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=44Also, I have a few VA's conceived, but no desire to run more than the one that I already do. One of the concepts actually has the fleet painted and the short haul schedules done; it is a matter of finding a capable person to run it.
  23. The default CRJ panel looks very close to what the real Q400 panel looks like. My feeble editing attempts have removed the CRJ reference speeds from copies of the main .bmp's, but alas, I don't seem to have the ability to delete certain files from the CRJ_700.cab (files relating to autothrottle and yaw damper, which the real Q400 does not have, or at least the Dreamwings model does not support). Is anyone working on a Q400 panel for FSX? Does anyone have the skills that I lack to perhaps make an adaptation of the default CRJ-700 panel? Would anybody be interested in advancing what I have tried to do so far?
  24. http://www.cvagroup.net/CEO's name was Jeff.....I don't seem to have anything with the last name still remaining in any old folders on my PC. Anyway, all aspects of CVAG (ie, Web pages) are now dark, and there was never an explanation, although perhaps the warning sign might have been no updates to the pages since Feb.2nd.
