July 17, 200619 yr Virtual-USAairways Joins Saturday Scramble PartnershipCHICAGO/MONTREAL/TEMPE, July 16, 2006 -- United Virtual Airlines and Virtual Air Canada announced today that Virtual-USAairways is now fully integrated into operations of the ongoing Saturday afternoon VATSIM group event, The Saturday Scramble. Combined, the three virtual airlines count more than 1,700 pilots. This brings a very large base of potential participants to an online event. The Scramble starts with departures from several airports in the current Virtual-USAairways, Air Canada and United Airlines schedules. All converge on the same destination, arriving at the scheduled times. This provides a steady flow of traffic during the arrival period, and closely simulates real world airline operations. Participating pilots may also choose to depart from the destination airport.VATSIM members, whether members of virtual airlines or not, are welcome to join in The Scramble. If a member of a virtual airline, follow your company procedures for flying and filing your flight.Check here for Scramble details: http://www.united-virtual.com./index.php?m..._position=24:24 About Virtual-USAairways:We are a group of US Airways enthusiasts who like US Airways and the aircraft they operate.
