United Virtual Upgrades ACARS!(Chicago, September 17, 2006) United Virtual Airlines is pleased to annouce a significant upgrade with the release of version 2.0 of our ACARS system.The upgraded system features automated PIREP submission directly to the UVA servers, real-time weather data, airplane-to-airplane and airplane-to-ground messaging. Pilots manually reserve a flight in the UVA Pilot Center and then the automated PIREP submission does the rest. No more login to the Pilot Center at the end of the flight!Using ACARS, whether online or offline, tracks flight times, fuel use and simplifies PIREPS, all of which reduce pilot workload.
