Live dispatch was implemented following several months of beta testing and successful performance during the December 2007 "Home for the Holidays" Saturday Scramble. Eight Dispatchers were successfully trained, and will be providing dispatch services on a regular basis.United Virtual pilots are notified when dispatch is manned by checking the "dispatch status" indicator in the upper right hand corner of the UVA website or by noting that dispatch is logged into the UVA Teamspeak server. Members contact dispatch by either Teamspeak or UVACARS messaging.Development work also continues on United Virtual flight planning and flight release software.
