July 8, 200223 yr Hello fellow enthusiasts. To start with I am sure as you are, tired of the upstart airlines promising everything from the begining, operating for 3 months, then fading into nothing. You are left with the question marks, and an extreme distaste of the ever increasing number of VA's clouding the market place. While I can't offer you a solution to the endless advertisements for new VA's, I can offer you an opportunity to try something new. Essor Airlines is an extension from a college course I took once, adapted for our hobby. It is the application of a real world business plan, that is the creation of an airline based on fact, and realistic modeling, and put to the test in the vitural world. What does this mean to the pilot? It means the ability to join an organization based on structure and reality, and opportunity to experience the enjoyment of flight, and an educational approach to the operation side of an airline.Just as important though, it offers something to the managers. Most airlines cater to their pilots, rightfully so. However, they leave their managers with endless repetitive work of reviewing posts and updating websites. This realistic management approach will allow for management personnel to make decisions, and realize the effect that it has on the operation of the airline. Both financially, and competitively for market stability and growth. Moving you from a robot adding information to a website, to a dynamic team member responsible for the success or destruction of the business model. So you've read this far and you are still interested? We are seeking self-motivated, dynamic persons to fill several management positions. I will not sugar coat it, the positions will demand some of your time. Time you could devote to pulling weeds, or washing your car. But, if you are looking for something to challenge your mind, your sense of business and creativity to advance a realistic business model from a planning idea to a fully functional airline than you have found your niche. If you meet that definition, send an email to [email protected]. There is no pressure to join, and you will not recieve any un-wanted solicitation. I will answer your questions, if you are still interested after talking about the project, we can discuss your coming aboard the team. If not, you walk away with the satisfaction that you looked into something different, and with the knowledge that you are happy in your present position. Just a brief introduction to myself for those interested. I have been involved in the virtual aviation arena since 1995. I have recently completed law school and bar exams for 2 states, and have started my own law practice. I am a real world pilot, and navigator on C-130's for the Air National Guard. This previous experience should indicate the resolve, and practical knowledge to lead the current team members and those who join now and in the future to a successful implmentation of our business model.I look forward to hearing from you. July 8, 200223 yr wow!! I have to say that is probably thee most intense opening statement I have read about a VA in years!!mmmm.. kinda interested in it, - I take it, it would involve a full blown financial model? who plays the part of the "other" airlines. In other words a simulation of this nature would require some group of people taking the oposition...maybe im still not explaining it well enough.. suppose i suggest that we buy the landing rights to land at airport xyz, ok now I would think that what you said above it wouldn't be guarenteed that we would get to land at a/p xyz?? correct?keep me posted, thankswould this just be heavy jets, etc or would it be open enough to say allow someone to put together a small charter and air taxi service along with the other??ciao!Brian S Ciao!
July 9, 200223 yr Brian - In short the answer to your questions is yes. There is a full financial model being created by the current staff, including a business plan and service forecasting. We are open to competing against other airlines who are willing to take on a similar challenge, however we have yet to find one with the resolve and resources to compete in this fashion. Therefore, it will basically come down to a competition against the current VA's for the "market" of available pilots. In combat this factor we are going to introduce the fiancials and openings at the airports we are planning to serve. That is, if we want to land at xyz airport then we would research if there are landing slots available, gate space available, the cost of both, etc. from real world sources. If our budget will allow that expansion then we will be able to purchase those rights. So if the real world xyz is over saturated, or to costly to operate out of, then that will not be a viable solution for our airline. We boviously wouldn't be able to prodcue the seed funding for heavy category aircraft. Our current financil model is focused on a regional operation, with aircraft aquisition to allow for a rapid and increasing complex route system.Hope this answers your questions. Thanks for the interest. If you have any further questions, please contact me via email at [email protected]
